The domain
Domaine du Paternel was founded in 1943 by the Santini family, who today own land that will soon be among the most prestigious in the Cassis appellation. The first bottle was released in 1951, and the Paternel was taken over by Jean-Pierre Santini and his wife a few years later. The second generation also works in the cellar and in the vineyard, with a common passion for wine. Paternel wines are produced under three appellations: Cassis, Côtes-de-Provence and Bandol, although the estate is best known for its Cassis wines. Indeed, their parcels alone cover 50 hectares, or about a quarter of the appellation. As a result, this estate has quickly become a staple of Provence. Despite this success, the Santini family remains committed to its values and to the natural management of the vineyard: no insecticides, a maximum of traditional work... To know the secrets of these fantastic wines of Provence, we invite you to try the Paternel White Côtes-de-Provence!
