Domaine du Gros Noré
Cradle of the 51th and the last wine AOC Bandol of the millennium, Domaine du Gros Noré is perched on the village of La Cadière d’Azur. The custom is of given a nickname to all the villagers. This is the way Honoré Pascal had Gros’Noré’s nickname in reference to its impressive stature and to its peace. Today, it is Alain Pascal who took back the family heritage to pay tribute to his father and gave so thus Gros’Noré’s name to his domaine. These wines of Bandol offer at the same time ripe tannins and softness, balance and a beautiful length. The cultivation of vines at Domaine Gros Noré can be considered organic because all phytosanitary treatments are limited to the use of copper and sulfur: no herbicide or chemical (insecticide) is used. On the other hand, according to Alain Pascal, tillage is essential since it is done manually, just like the harvest. Gros Nore produces rosé and white wines, however its predominant colour is red since it is more representative of the family terroir.
