VILLA MINNA VINEYARD is a family farm in Provence that produces an atypical and out-of-standard wine outside the appellations in a completely confidential and natural way. Located in Aix-en-Provence and Salon de Provence, the 15 ha of the vineyards come on two slopes.
VILLA MINNA VINEYARD A FAMILY STORY
It was in 1929 that Grandfather Alexander acquired the family property. In 1987 Jean-Paul Luc decided to lay down his suitcases and to “root himself”. With Minna, his Finnish wife, they took over the exploitation of the grandfather. The couple markets their first wine with a 1999 vintage MINNA red. Meryl (their younger daughter) and Arno took over the reindeer of Domaine VILLA MINNA.
THE WINES OF VILLA MINNA
The wines of Villa Minna Vineyard are made out of love of wine. They are powerful, greedy, full of freshness and great aromatic complexity. They are sold 5 years after the harvest for red wines and 3 years for white wines. The vineyard VILLA MINNA is part of the Mediterranean Nutrition Charter in Provence and organic agriculture, a philosophy that has always been part of our way of working. Since the 2012 vintage, VILLA MINNA VINEYARD wines have been certified BIO ECOCERT. The domain does not use weeds, pesticides or chemical fertilisers. The vines are worked with the plough. Villa Minna is in conversion to biodynamics. The harvest is manual.
ORIGINAL LABELS
The originality of the labels should be emphasised. Indeed, the labels were drawn by the daughters of Jean Paul and Minna. On the MINNA VINEYARD, the red drawing was made by Tytti (the elder daughter of the winemakers) and the drawing of the white by Meryl (the youngest), in their childhood. Each new MINNA vintage reproduces a different part of the same drawings. The choice of the part of the drawing will be chosen according to the spirit of the vintage.
