The domain
Chateau Sainte Marguerite is a wine estate of approximately 170 hectares located in the coastal town of La Londe-les-Maures, in the south of France. Although the land has been farmed since ancient times, the current estate was created in 1929 by concert pianist André Chevillon. The Fayard family purchased it in 1977 after a long and intense love affair. Pernod Ricard has made some investments and adjustments in the company since 2021. This property has been a certified organic vineyard since 2000 and certified vegan since 2015. In fact, it was one of the first to ensure that there were no animal-based inputs in the wine. Because the Fayards leave nothing to chance, Sainte-Marguerite has acquired the Côtes-de-Provence La Londe geographical appellation. Because there are four distinct soil types in the commune of La Londe, this appellation guarantees a unique terroir. This explains why Château Ste Marguerite produces fine wines in each of its ranges: Symphonie, derived from neighboring plots and properties, Fantastique et Collection Marguerites, derived solely from property plots. Rosé wines are increasingly popular in Provence, but white and red wines are also very popular. The Magnum of Sainte Marguerite Symphonie Rosé is a must have in your cellar.
