The sommelier info
The perfect blend is the dosage of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Rolle to create this rosé wine La Courtade : caressing, finely oaky with a beautiful length in the mouth.
A short film maceration is necessary before a gentle and selective pressing. The alcoholic fermentation takes place partly in barrels followed by a maturation on lees for 6 months in Porquerolles.

Domaine de la Courtade overlooks the Mediterranean with its 35 hectares located on the hillsides and La Courtade plain. It is on the mysterious lands of the Porquerolles island that La Courtade wines are produced, a tasty blend between ancient terroir and family tradition. Domaine de la Courtade Porquerolles was created in 1983 by Henri Vidal. The vineyard was taken over by Edouard Carmignac in 2014. La Courtade vineyard quickly moved towards biodynamics in order to reconcile its values and the know-how exercised there. In 1997, La Courtade plots were certified organic by Ecocert thanks to the privileged terroir of the island and its soil composed of shale and clay on the hillsides. Domaine La Courtade Porquerolles produces more than 100,000 bottles of Côtes de Provence wine that can be found in the 3 colours.
The two ranges, La Courtade and Les Terrasses de la Courtade, are distinguished by their character and guard potential. The vintage La Courtade, vinified in barrels, is round in mouth and harmonious for the rosé, structured and elegant for the red while the white is rather fresh and aromatic. Indeed, the oldest vines are destined for La Courtade vintage. Concerning Les Terrasses de la Courtade, we find wines with more lightness.
