The domain
Domaine du Paternel was created in 1943 by the Santini family, brothers and sisters became owners of the land that would soon become one of the most renowned in the Cassis appellation. The first bottling took place in 1951 and Paternel was taken over by Jean-Pierre Santini and his wife a few years later. The 2nd generation also works in the cellar and in the vineyard with a common passion for the vine. Paternel wines are produced in three appellations: Cassis, Côtes-de-Provence and Bandol, although the property owes its reputation mainly to its Cassis wines. Indeed, their parcels alone cover 50 hectares, which represents about a quarter of the appellation. Very quickly this estate became a must in Provence. In spite of this craze, the Santini family remains faithful to its values and to its vineyard management, which is as natural as possible: no insecticides, traditional ploughing as much as possible... To know the secret of these fabulous wines of Provence, we invite you to taste the Paternel Rosé Côtes-de-Provence!
