Domaine Figuière François is a fruity red, with aromas of ripe blackberries and black fruits. On the palate, the tannins are patinated and fine. The freshness gives way to the spices of the end of the mouth. A Signature cuvée that we can only recommend!

The sommelier info

François is a nod to the son of Alain Combard and managing director of the Domaine de Figuière. This red of Provence was first aged on fine lees, then 40% of its blend was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

The domain

Domaine Figuière is a family property in La Londe-les-Maures with 125 hectares of Côtes de Provence appellation. This emblematic estate of Provence was purchased in 1992 by the Combard family, who had always been winegrowers and Burgundians. Led by Alain Combard, who had long recognized the potential of his seaside terroir. Alain then passed the reins of the business to his three children. Since the 1980s, the Figuière vineyard has been worked organically, and significant efforts have been made to preserve the vineyard, including the banning of chemical herbicides. The family’s goal has always been to produce terroir-driven, award-winning wines. Several lines of wine explore the different facets of the industry, including the Signature line, which focuses on simplicity and freshness, and the Première line, which is already more focused on meals and food and wine pairings. Finally, the Confidentielle line offers high-end wines with excellent complexity and depth. Impossible to ignore the cuvée François, it is a red wine you won’t be able to resist!
