The domain
Marcel Ott replanted all his land with Provençal grape varieties in 1896 to ensure the long-term viability of the vineyard. This land had been farmed for centuries before the phylloxera epidemic, but was destroyed by the disease. Christian and Jean-François, cousins, have been working together since 2009 to run Domaines Ott as a family business. Château de Selle in Taradeau produces red, white and rosé wines, while Clos Mireille in La Londe produces rosé and the famous Blanc de Blancs; both vineyards are part of the Côtes de Provence appellation. Finally, Château Romassan is located in the Bandol wine region and produces red and rosé Bandol wines. However, the company’s signature Coeur de Grain Rosé is still created only from these three areas. These wines reflect Domaine Ott’s commitment to protecting plant and soil life, as no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used in the vineyards. In addition, the By Ott range is light, fruity and festive, making it appropriate for any occasion. Enjoy a fantastic sip of this Château Romassan Rosé.
