Château Barbeyrolles, located in Gassin on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, is a prestigious wine estate in Provence renowned for the excellence of its organic rosé wines. Since it was acquired in 1977 by Régine Sumeire, heiress to a long line of Provençal winegrowers, the estate has established itself as a benchmark in the production of fine, elegant rosés. A UNIQUE TERROIR IN THE HEART OF THE SAINT-TROPEZ PENINSULA

The Château Barbeyrolles estate extends over 12 hectares of vines nestling in the Maures hills, close to the village of Gassin. Its primary schist terroir, combined with an exceptional maritime microclimate, provides ideal conditions for producing authentic Provence wines. The grape varieties grown (Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Ugni-Blanc, Sémillon, Syrah and Cabernet-Sauvignon) come from vines that are on average 35 years old, revealing all the richness and typicity of this exceptional wine-growing region.

BARBEYROLLES: TRADITIONAL, ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY WINEMAKING

At Château Barbeyrolles, every stage of the winemaking process is guided by gentle, sustainable methods. The estate uses certified organic growing methods and biodynamic techniques to preserve the vitality of the soil and the balance of the ecosystem. The grapes are harvested by hand in the cool of the morning, then pressed as whole bunches using direct pressing, without de-stemming. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and ageing in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats ensure that the wines retain all their aromatic finesse.

PÉTALE DE ROSE: THE ICON OF PROVENCE ROSÉ

Created in 1985 by Régine Sumeire, Pétale de Rose has become the estate's signature wine and a benchmark for light Provence rosé. This exceptional wine captivates with its pale, luminous colour and subtle aromas of jasmine, white peach, fresh strawberry and almond biscuit. The result of delicate vinification in a Champagne hydraulic press, without crushing, it reveals great elegance and persistence on the palate.
