The domain

Château d’Esclans is a 270-hectare estate located in the commune of La Motte between Cannes and Saint-Tropez (including 45 hectares of vineyards). Go back to the Gallic era and discover the fascinating history of the vineyard. While the enemy was preparing to attack the golf of Fréjus, it was in a strategic position to observe his preparations. The current castle was built in the 19th century and sold in 1875; the property has changed hands several times over the years. The term "Terre d’Esclans" was then commonly used. Sacha Lichine bought the company in 2006 and ran it until it was bought by Mot Hennessy in 2019. Sacha Lichine has state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and a team of winemaking experts to help him create high-quality rosés and whites that age gracefully in oak barrels. For example, renowned oenologist Patrick Léon helped create the Les Clans and Garrus wines from Château d’Esclans. In addition, Esclans is credited with creating Garrus, the most expensive rosé wine in the world (at least when it was released). Rock Angel and Whispering Angel, both from the Caves d’Esclans, are legendary in their native Provence.
