La Source de Vignelaure combines Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon from six selected hectares of the estate’s very stony clay-limestone slopes. Hand-harvested, the varieties are vinified separately with indigenous yeasts, with part of the Syrah and the Cabernet Sauvignon subsequently aged in oak. Blackberry, strawberry and raspberry shape a refined, structured palate with supple tannins, generous fruit and a long, balanced finish.

The aroma is immediately fruity, with notes of blackberry, strawberry, and raspberry. The ripe character of the fruit remains well-defined, without being overly rich, and is particularly pleasant right from the first sip.

The palate has a well-defined structure while retaining finesse. The tannins complement the fruit without making the wine harsh, and the overall balance makes it very easy to drink. The finish lingers elegantly with persistent fruity notes.

La Source de Vignelaure Rouge pairs beautifully with herb-crusted beef fillet, Provençal bull stew, grilled tuna steak, daube provençale or roast lamb; serve at around 16°C and open approximately thirty minutes before serving to let its fruit and texture fully unfold.

The domain
