The domain

Chateau de Jasson is a historic vineyard of 16 Hectares in La Londe. The vineyard enjoys a specific Mediterranean climate thanks to its location between the Massif des Maures and the sea. The Chateau Jasson takes root on soils of schistose and clay-limestone types, thus giving it an exceptional terroir.

CHATEAU JASSON, AN ANCESTRAL WINE ESTATE

The Greeks very early began to cultivate the vineyards of the Chateau de Jasson: six centuries before Jesus Christ. The origin of the name Chateau Jasson appears only in the Middle Ages, coming from “Jas” which represented the meeting space of the shepherds before leaving in transhumance. Today, Benjamin Defresne, his family and son-in-law are working to create fine wines with fruity aromas and gourmet flavors. Chateau Jasson has remained a family farm since 1990, as all members are passionate about viticulture. In fact, the Defresne family has always been immersed in vine cultivation since the 1200s.

DIVERSITY AND REASONED CULTURE: THE MASTER WORDS OF CHATEAU DE JASSON

Chateau de Jasson raises a panel of varied grape varieties that allows them to make typed and rare wines. Entirely in AOC Côtes de Provence and completed in AOP Côtes de Provence, Domaine de Jasson cultivates both Tibouren and Cinsault as well as Rolle, Sémillon or Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines of the Chateau Jasson are offered in the three colours thanks to a culture based on the process of reasoned viticulture: this means not hesitating to pruning and harvesting green during the month of July. Picking is done by hand and plow rather than using herbicides and organic fertilisers.

DOMAINE DE JASSON: LA LONDE PRESTIGIOUS WINES

Chateau de Jasson in La Londe-Les-Maures produces several wines including the Jeanne en Blanc cuvée, Chateau de Jasson Rose Eléonore cuvée and the Victoria cuvée en Rouge. It also benefits from the Artisan Vigneron label of France and the HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. The wines of the Chateau de Jasson have received more than 200 awards in 25 years because they are considered aromatic on the fruit, silky and supple on the palate. While the traditions are the responsibility of Chateau Jasson, once combined with modern know-how and state-of-the-art oenological techniques, they make it possible to design highly qualitative products that meet the requirements of everyone.
