The domain

Domaine Gavoty is a domaine which testifies of Roman vestiges. Philémon Gavoty purchased the property in 1806. Since then, 8 generations followed one another. The Gavoty family attempted to defend this soil in the area of naming Côtes de Provence while valuing their image. From 1985, Roselyne Gavoty takes care of the wine making. In 2001, she manages all of the exploitation of 50 ha by means of her husband. Gavoty Clarendon is one of the best Provence's wine.
The wine of Gavoty consists of 4 vintages: Gavoty la Cigale, Gavoty Grand Classique, Gavoty Récital and Gavoty Clarendon. Domaine Gavoty produces Clarendon white wine which is one of the best whites in Provence with a great potential for guarding. The vintage Clarendon is made from the oldest vines of the Domaine, which gives it more structure and robustness. Concerning the rosé wines, Domaine Gavoty wanted to make elegant wines, silky and adapted to the summer season.
The property consists of 46 ha of one unit in production and 150 ha of wood. The production of Domaine Gavoty is 250,000 bottles, 70% to 80% of which are rosé wines, 15% white and 8 to 15% red (depending on the vintage).
