The domain
Domaine de La Rouillere covers almost 120 hectares, between the municipalities of Gassin and Ramatuelle, in the heart of the peninsula of Saint-Tropez. Among these hilly lands of forests and rivers, the 45 hectares of the Rouillère are dedicated to the breeding of the vines with the utmost respect for traditions and reasoned agriculture.
Domaine La Rouillère created in 1900 takes its name “Rouillere” from the river that flows in the middle of the property. Bertrand and Magali Letartre, according to them, “awakened the beautiful sleep” by purchasing the Domaine de la Rouilère in 1998. A new era was then opened for the Rouillere and its new owners, since they soon established a terroir combining innovation and tradition. They still demonstrate know-how and authenticity in the preservation of the historical character of the vineyards La Rouillère and these iconic cuvées.
Bertrand and Magali Letartre are keen to offer signed cuvées developed according to traditional methods thanks to their 1.700 m² of equipped cellar but also with state-of-the-art technology, of extreme cleanliness. This allows meticulous vinification and brings to the cuvées of the Domaine de la Rouillère of purity. These state-of-the-art oenological techniques combined with innovations in terms of production allow great wines to emerge in La Rouillere.
The wines of Domaine de la Rouillère are in a controlled label of origin Cotes de Provence. The Domaine la Rouillere is dedicated to seven precious grape varieties: Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet, Syrah and Sauvignon for red and rosé wines. Then Sémillon, Ugni Blanc and Vermentino for white wines. La Rouillère offers us 3 exceptional cuvées: first of all the cuvée Domaine de la Rouillere Rosé, Blanc et Rouge, aromatic wines, round and balanced on the palate. Finally, the Cuvée Domaine La Rouillère Grande Reserve in Rosé, White and Red: these are excellent watch wines to combine with Mediterranean cuisine.
