Château Vignelaure Rouge combines equal proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from old vines rooted in the estate’s very stony clay-limestone slopes. Vinified separately with indigenous yeasts, the two varieties undergo extended maceration followed by 24 months in Burgundy barrels, with only 10% new oak. Ripe dark fruit, spice and garrigue nuances lead to a deep, elegant palate framed by fine tannins and freshness that beautifully balances its richness.

On the palate, it is rich and structured, with concentrated body supported by fine, well-defined tannins. Despite its depth, the wine retains a freshness that perfectly balances the whole. The finish is long and lingering, with clear aging potential.

The domain
Located in Rians, in the Provençal hinterland, Château Vignelaure developed its distinctive identity under Georges Brunet, who acquired the property in the late 1960s. The estate is particularly known for the historic role of Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Mediterranean grape varieties, giving its wines a distinctive personality and impressive ageing potential. Today, Vignelaure continues to pursue elegance and depth through its red, rosé and white wines, in a remarkable setting where vineyards, architecture and contemporary art come together.
