The domain
Chateau Sainte Marguerite in La Londe-les-Maures, Provence, has a vineyard of about 170 hectares. The land has been used for agriculture since ancient times, but concert pianist André Chevillon created the current wine estate in 1929. The Fayard family, which has a long-standing love affair with the estate, bought it in 1977. Since 2021, Pernod Ricard has acquired shares in the business and has made some changes. This property has been certified organic since 2000 and vegan since 2015. In fact, it was among the first to ensure that no animal inputs were in its wine. Sainte-Marguerite has acquired the complementary geographical appellation Côtes-de-Provence La Londe because the Fayards leave nothing to chance. Due to the presence of four distinct soil types in the commune of La Londe, this appellation ensures a unique terroir. This is why Château Ste Marguerite produces high quality wines in its ranges: Symphonie, from neighboring lots and estate lots, Fantastique and Collection Marguerites, from estate plots only. In Provence, rosés are more than appreciated, but white and red wines are also very much in demand. Discover the Jeroboam of Sainte Marguerite Symphonie Rosé.
