Discover the Emotion vintage, a white wine of gastronomy born on the terroir of Lorgues. We were seduced by its great complexity, which transports us from almost exotic fruit notes to a velvety texture and a lively, well-balanced structure. The freshness combined with the richness then leads to peppery, spicy and almond notes that we do not expect at all.
The sommelier info
The elaboration process of this Côtes de Provence White is a bit atypical since the fermentation, the blending and the maturation take place in different containers: 1/3 in barrels, 1/3 in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats and 1/3 in ovoid cement vats. The wine is then aged in bottles for approximately one year before being sold.
Emotion white wine 2021 comes from a terroir of south-facing terraces, on stony and clay soils that drain and retain the water necessary for the proper development of the vines.

The domain
Domaine de Gavaisson, located in Lorgues in the Var, takes its name from the Greek words ‘guè’ (land) and ‘baisson’ (arrived), meaning ‘arrival in the promised land’. Founded some twenty years ago, this haven of peace is renowned for its great Côtes de Provence terroir white wines. Gerda Than, who fell under the spell of this unspoilt spot in the 90s, became the owner and, with Emmanuel Geler, decided to set herself apart by concentrating exclusively on white wines. The 4 hectares of vines, planted with Semillon and Rolle, produce round, expressive wines with notes of pear and citrus fruit. Practising organic and biodynamic farming, the estate uses stainless steel vats, new oak barrels and an ovoid cement vat to make its wines. Among the cuvées, Inspiration stands out for its balance between freshness and roundness, while Emotion impresses with its complexity and intensity, promising a fine evolution over time.
